LynX® Connect communicates

Intelligent Devices

LynX® Connect provides a wide range of devices that send a signal to the LynX® Server at the touch of a button. The incoming signal alerts the intended recipients and/or (de)activates the relevant devices. Using these devices helps optimise the company's alarm processing and communication.

Node

The LynX® Node supports the operation of the LynX® Intelligent Devices and acts as a bridge between a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/LAN connection. In addition, the LynX® Node has a built-in PIR sensor and the possibility to connect any input/output contact. Any incoming alarm signal from an intelligent device (via Bluetooth®) or an input/output contact is transmitted to the LynX® Server (via Wi-Fi / LAN). The LynX® Server processes the alarm signal, alerts the intended recipient and (de)activates the relevant device if necessary. The possibilities are endless, and encompass patient fall detection, door and window control, temperature monitoring of refrigerators and the control of medical pumps, etc. LynX® Connect ensures the continuous operation of all medical equipment in a preventive, proactive and active manner, and also enhances patient safety.

Gateway

The LynX® Gateway is the version of the LynX® Node which offers the most features. It is also equipped with an active SIM card and a powerful battery (10h) that support the continuous operation of the device in the event of network connection failure and/or power failure.

Smart button

The LynX® Smart Button is an alarm push button with integrated LED lighting that can be mounted on any surface.

Pressing the button sends an alarm signal via the LynX® Node to the LynX® Alarm Server. This sends the alarm notifications to the intended recipient, according to the urgency, importance and availability. In addition, a pull cord can be attached to the device in order to respond to fall situations.

Care Telephone

The LynX® Care telephone connects patients and caregivers quickly and easily. This peerless telephone, which boasts a range of features, helps optimise (alarm) communication within the care environment.

The design of the device is centred around ease of use. A large touchscreen, icons and large keys with a clear and sensitive pressure point make it simple to make calls and send messages. The built-in camera also allows the user to make video calls. In addition to the in-house LynX® software, the LynX® Care telephone also supports external applications including Skype and Messenger. Not only does the calendar function help users to remember appointments, it can also be configured as a medication reminder, so that patients always take their medication at the right time.

Remote Control

The LynX® Remote Control combines the functions of a traditional alarm button with two control buttons. This allows the user not only to send alarm signals, but also control electrical equipment using Bluetooth® technology. Switching a light on or off, opening or closing a door or setting the position of the sun blinds are just a few of the various possible applications.

LynX Interface

The user-friendly interface of the LynX® Client software helps caregivers avoid errors and displays vital information prominently.

It is possible to easily consult and respond to alarms, based on the menu and the response buttons. LynX® Connect offers a wide range of possibilities in this respect:

  • Deactivating the alarm
  • Confirming the alarm: The alarm disappears from the device and is not repeated.
  • Ignoring or postponing the alarm: The alarm disappears from the device but is repeated after a certain number of seconds.
  • Callback: When a phone number is linked to the alarm, this number is sent with the alarm message. When this option is pressed, the phone automatically dials the indicated number.
  • Activating the camera: When a camera is linked to an alarm, a photo is sent with the alarm message. If this photo is pressed, the camera is activated.

The system communicates the decision taken to the other receivers, meaning that every member of staff is aware of the emergency situation at all times.

LynX® Operatorconsole

The LynX® Operator Console distributes incoming calls from both internal and external callers within an organization so that they always end up with the correct recipients. Based on the time of day, the availability of the employee, the number of the calling party, etc., calls are diverted to the desired devices. In case all employees are busy, the conversation is transferred to a backup receiver.

The unique working method of the LynX® Call Distributor makes it possible to simultaneously offer incoming telephone calls to all available extensions (= LynX® Client-compatible devices) and to occupy only two telephone lines. This function optimizes call traffic, which means that more telephones can be registered than physical telephone lines are available.
